Beito Husky Tours offers (multi) day dog sledding tours and snowshoe/ice fishing trips in winter and many different adventures, with and without our huskies, during the rest of the year. See below for an overview of our activities!

All activities need to be booked in advance.

Our mission is to create quality hands-on experiences that are unique every time. By engaging our guests as much as possible into the processes, we nurture their curiosity, demonstrate new skills and expand their knowledge.
Our kennel is manageable and small with happy and social huskies who love to work as sled dogs. We keep our dogs healthy and motivated by involving them in varied activities all year around.

Besides guided tours, we also have two cozy wilderness cabins and a wood fired sauna on site, which are off grid and have no electricity nor running water, if you want to try out a real Norwegian mountain cabin.

Canoe trips and canoe rentals

On a warm summer day, refreshing water activities are tempting. Guided tours every day. Shorter family-friendly trips and longer evening tours including an outdoor dinner cooked on a fire. If you have paddled before, it is also possible to rent the equipment and paddle on your own. Choose between a canoe or sit-on-top kayak.

Mountain hikes with huskies

The huskies from Beito Husky Tours are excellent hiking companions and always ready to join a hike. Summit hikes to well-known peaks and easier mountain walks to hidden gems in the area. The difficulty level and length of the hike are tailored to your needs.

Puppy Training

Guided activity for the whole family and for anybody who loves dogs and wants to learn more about sled dogs and huskies.
You´ll spend the afternoon interacting with the puppies, walking, playing, cuddling, training, feeding and petting them. The type of activities will be adapted to the puppies ages at the time. All led by an experienced guide that will learn you many interesting facts about these wonderful dogs.

Dog Sledding Expeditions

Experience one of Norway's best areas for dog sledding. The privileged location between Langsua and Jotunheimen National Parks makes Beitostølen the perfect base for some of the country's most thrilling long-distance trips and nature experiences.

Beito Husky Tours organizes exclusive 2-5 day trips with limited spots. It is recommended to book well in advance.

Drive your own dog team and experience the fantastic winter landscape in Beito in a new way. A unique and educational experience with knowledgeable guides and eager dogs.

Husky Camp Tour

Meet all our 50+ dogs, learn about the history and the partnership built with these amazing animals. Harness your new best four-legged friend and join him/her for a scenic hike (also known as cani-cross) to the “fjord” of Øyangen. Explore the equipment we use while dog sledding and you can take your picture in our sled and equipment display.
Enjoy a hands-on activity where no previous experience is needed.
